As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related needs. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.07 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support a welcoming environment.
• Monitor access points and observe visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly using required reporting processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
