Qualifications

• Must be willing to receive vaccines required for work in a hospital.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly and follow facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities and parking areas.
• Monitor access points, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, report unusual conditions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Immunization Patrol in Summerville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to receive vaccines required for work in a hospital.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
