Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time in Summerville, SC. This role offers fixed shifts with a six-month commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide security for patients, visitors, and staff, respond to incidents, and conduct regular patrols at healthcare facilities and surrounding areas. A background check and drug screen are required; licensing rules vary by state.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and assist with de-escalation.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate information to site leadership and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Communications in Summerville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with de‑escalation and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
