Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Hospital Care Area Security in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will help address security-related incidents, support sensitive areas, and respond professionally when assistance is needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, visitor-related matters, and healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor-management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required vaccines for hospital assignments.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
