Allied Universal in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a part-time Security Officer Enhanced with clinical deescalation responsibilities. This role provides reliable, fixed hours at a designated site and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
• Ability to work in a hospital morgue is required.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Clinical Deescalation in Fredericksburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
• Ability to work in a hospital morgue is required.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
