Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a Hospital Emergency Readiness role in Baltimore, MD. You will provide patient and visitor security, support staff, and help enforce site policies in a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities include responding to incidents, performing unarmed patrols of facilities and grounds, monitoring access points, and documenting events for timely communication with the care team. Experience preferred, vaccination requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Preferred CPR certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and adherence to site-specific access procedures.
• Document incidents and observations accurately and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

• Sat 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and adherence to site-specific access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
