Job summary

Allied Universal in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for medical care area response. You will provide patient and staff protection, monitor access, and respond to incidents in a healthcare setting. The schedule runs Tue, Wed, and Thu nights from 11:30 PM to 08:00 AM.

Pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Two or more years of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to restrain individuals are required; CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Ability to restrain individuals.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors per site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas and surrounding property.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and patrol activities per site requirements.

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Wed: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding property to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, facility access, and reporting of unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
