Allied Universal in Hanford, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Patrol Driver. This role provides reliable, flexible hours at a healthcare site with a fixed anchor shift and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $25.00 per hour. Schedule is Fri 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM. This position offers income stability, hands-on experience, and a path toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week if desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Hospital vaccines are required.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.


• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional presence.


• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.


• Hospital vaccines are required.


• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
