Job Description

As a Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol - Part Time in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment by responding promptly to situations and working collaboratively with others. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $12.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alabama Security Professional Registration is preferred and may be required for certain security-related roles.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred and may be required depending on state or local regulations.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
