Job summary

Hollywood Casino Joliet is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to protect guests, staff and assets across our gaming and non-gaming areas. You will monitor activities, respond to incidents, and coordinate with Surveillance to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualified applicants must be 21+, hold a valid IL Gaming Board license, possess a high school diploma or GED, and be able to read and communicate in English. This on-site role offers stability, insurance and a fast-paced work culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED; or six months to one year experience with multitasking.
• Must qualify for and maintain an IL Gaming Board license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English with customers and employees.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Monitors staff and guest activities to ensure compliance with policies and safety rules.
• Ensures safety and security of operations.
• Answers internal and external calls and routes them appropriately.
• Must multitask efficiently.
• Uses computer systems to log shift events.
• Assigns tasks based on scheduling and task requirements.
• Promotes a high level of customer service and a fun, entertaining guest experience.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to oversee safety and security.
