Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard (Unarmed) for a full-time role in Austin, TX. You will protect government facilities, provide exceptional customer service, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while upholding site procedures and Allied Universal policies.

As part of a team-driven culture, you will work a consistent schedule with evening shifts, maintain professional presence, document observations, and contribute to safety across assigned locations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or public response personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Operations in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use technology to document observations. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
