Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for Government Building Access Control in Irvine, CA. You will monitor and patrol, manage access, and deliver outstanding customer service while following site policies.

This full-time swing-shift role requires at least two years of security experience, a high school diploma, and strong communication. Training and benefits are provided.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Government Building Access Controlin Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine checks, help to deter incidents, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $27.98 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, document processing spaces, receiving areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Support the protection of sensitive paper records and business materials by reporting unsecured areas, irregular conditions, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
