Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for the Generating Station in Oxnard, CA. You will monitor facilities, perform routine patrols, provide customer service, and support access control with a visible presence.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; a guard card or license is preferred. You will work a split DayTime Thur/Sat schedule with a pay rate of $22.72 per hour.

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas and perimeters to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and report unauthorized entries or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document events according to site requirements.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate observations to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.


• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access concerns.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site requirements.


• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
