As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control in Oxnard, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.62 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 01:30 PM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access‑control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Report observations, incidents, and access‑control exceptions through required documentation and communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
