Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Gate Operations in Burnsville, NC. This full-time role focuses on residential access control, monitoring entry points, verifying authorization, and delivering courteous service to residents, visitors, and vendors.

You will perform regular patrols, document activity, and respond calmly to incidents. The position starts at $17.00 per hour with a schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required access logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

What You\'ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
