Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a Security Officer for Gate City Casino in Nashua, NH. Earn $20–$24/hour with full-time or part-time shifts, including overnight and weekends.

Expect thorough training, weekly pay, and a competitive benefits package as you protect guests and team members. Responsibilities include ID checks, escorts, incident reporting, crowd control, medical assistance when CPR/First-Aid certified, and patrolling all areas of the property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be licensed by State Gaming Commission.
• Ability to defuse difficult situations when handling guest issues or complaints.
• Strong verbal communication, observation and report writing skills.
• Prior law enforcement, security or military experience preferred; hospitality/customer service experience a plus.
• Clear a criminal background check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Check identification for proper admittance to the gaming floor.
• Conduct cash escorts as required.
• Observe, report, and address procedural violations and illegal activity.
• Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary.
• Maintain crowd control as required.
• Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally.
• Provide medical assistance to guests and employees once CPR/First-Aid/AED/BBP certified.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, employees and assets.
• Patrol all areas of the property.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Assist during emergencies and evacuations.
• Respond to calls for service calmly and professionally.
• De-escalate conflicts.
• Complete incident reports and security logs.
• Secure evidence and coordinate with local law enforcement.

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time and/or part time Security Officer to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Security Guard, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. If you are looking for a role offering teamwork, excitement, and career growth,

11:00pm-7:00am (Full Time, 1 spot)

Pay

$20.00 - $24.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor

• Maintain crowd control as required
• Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally
• Administer medical assistance to guests and employees once certified in CPR/First-Aid/AED/BBP by the employer
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and company assets of the property
• Patrol all areas of the property
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized behavior, and safety hazards
• Assist guests/employees during emergencies, evacuations and/or medical incidents
• Respond to calls for service, accidents, violations of NH and/or Federal Law and gaming laws, rules and regulations in a calm and professional manner
• De-escalate conflicts using verbal and non-verbal techniques
• Complete accurate, complete and detailed incident reports, security logs and daily activity reports
• Secure evidence when needed and coordinate with local law enforcement

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
• Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
• Prior law enforcement, security or military experience preferred; hospitality/customer service experience a plus
• Clear a criminal background check
• Strong verbal communication, observation and report writing skills (must be able to document incidents via the use of a computer)

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
