Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required; licensing dependent on state/local laws.

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Screening in Edinburg, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage visitor and employee entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain clear records. You will provide exceptional customer service, remain visible to help deter incidents, and communicate promptly about security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $12.38 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, and maintain visitor and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe activity at the location and report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and receiving areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
