Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Texas City, TX, for full-time visitor check-in duties at an industrial site. You will manage access, verify credentials, issue passes, and patrol to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, TSA TWIC, background check, and ability to lift 20 pounds. The role is full-time with a daytime schedule and per-shift pay rate of $15.00 per hour; applicable remote work is not

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial engineering location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue badges or passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, coordinate contractor check-in requirements, and report access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Thur 05:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Fri 05:30 AM - 06:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
