Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Assistance in Blythewood, SC to protect facilities and people across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will patrol, monitor access, assist visitors, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication.

This position offers a daytime to overnight schedule, a competitive hourly wage of $19.10, and opportunities for training, growth, and benefits as part of a supportive security team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, including production areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and documenting activities accurately.
• Help deter unauthorized access, theft, property damage, and other security-related concerns through a professional presence and consistent patrol activity.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
