• Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, and incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities and perimeter areas.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming, controlled environment. Pay Rate: $17.97 - $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor documentation, and delivery permissions in accordance with established site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
