Job summary

Allied Universal’s Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Retail Patrol in Sherman Oaks, CA, is seeking a dedicated professional to monitor and protect tenants and visitors. You will provide courteous customer service, deterring incidents with a visible presence and responding to security concerns with integrity.

As part of a daytime schedule, you will perform patrols of office spaces, entrances, and parking areas, document activities, and collaborate with site staff.

• Ability to conduct patrols and monitor premises.
• Strong communication to report incidents clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and property perimeters.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas; verify authorized access and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and property perimeters to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures; and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
