Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Exterior Patrol in Los Angeles, CA to protect tenants and property. You will conduct routine exterior and common area patrols, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
