Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) at a retail location in St. Petersburg, FL. You will patrol the site, provide exceptional customer service, deter theft, and respond to incidents while following site policies and escalation procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response Services in St Petersburg, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM
• Thur: 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM
• Fri: 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, monitor entrances and exits, and help to deter theft and unauthorized activity through a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
