Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed) in Miami, FL. You will patrol commercial properties, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and communicate observations to relevant personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas including entrances, lobbies, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to deter unauthorized entry and maintain documentation.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security observations to management.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas, including building entrances, lobbies, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintaining accurate activity documentation.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security-related observations to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
