Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted per applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• Drug screen will be required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations calmly; notify relevant personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, bus stops, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and public areas; assist with directing visitors and reporting access concerns.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate findings to supervisors and client representatives.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Awareness in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government transit location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with riders, employees, and visitors while responding to concerns and supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $21.36 / Hour

• Mon 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, bus stops, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and assigned locations; assist with directing visitors and reporting access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
