Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol role in Marina Del Rey, CA. The officer will monitor and patrol designated areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional service to tenants, visitors, and staff.

Strong communication and reliability are essential to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The position requires at least two years of security experience, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Background investigation required under federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and guests by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to report unusual activity and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
