Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol) at an Amazon warehouse in Charlotte, NC. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while patrolling interior and exterior spaces and reporting incidents per site procedures.

You will monitor access points, verify credentials, respond calmly to emergencies, and complete daily activity logs to support a safe, welcoming workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted per laws.
• A drug screen is required prior to employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on location and role.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
