Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) at an Amazon Warehouse in Charlotte, NC. You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

Position type: Part Time; Pay rate: $18.36/hour. Roles include day and night shifts with a flexible schedule supporting a dynamic tech-focused location.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report concerns to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations per site procedures.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining situational awareness and assisting visitors and employees.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify designated contacts in accordance with site procedures.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining awareness of changing conditions, providing directions and assistance, and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
