Job summary

Allied Universal in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Preparedness to safeguard clients across utilities and other facilities. You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, monitor access, and report concerns with a focus on clear communication and customer service.

The role offers a daytime to evening schedule with shifts from Wed to Sun, and includes a background check, drug screen, and required age. A valid Guard Card/license and CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
