• Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and visitor activity; report security concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate with employees, visitors, contractors, and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Response in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate professionally, document observations, and support site operations with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, and exterior areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and visitor activity; report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
