Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, and guests. You will respond to access control and alarm-related needs, communicate professionally, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring culture.

Pay Rate: $19.13 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, performance areas, public spaces, offices, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access; and provide directions or assistance to guests during events, exhibitions, and performances.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
