Allied Universal in Glendale, CA is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrol and client service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Client Service in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established school‑site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report suspicious persons, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with school administrators, staff, students, visitors, and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
