Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Systems in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service while using technology to document and communicate security-related information. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

1. Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
2. Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
3. Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
4. Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment for a corporate workplace.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
