Job summary

Allied Universal in Allen, TX is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control. You will monitor and patrol a technology and data-center location, control access, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role requires a minimum of one year in security, preferred badge processes experience, and CPR/First Aid certification. Training and growth opportunities are offered within a supportive, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology and data-center location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized access and supports the continuity of technology operations.
