Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications for Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
