Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Emergency Response) in Penns Grove, NJ. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents with a visible presence, and deliver customer service to students, staff, and visitors while upholding school policies and safety protocols.

Typical schedule is 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, five days a week, with benefits and opportunities for career growth. CDL/License and CPR/First Aid preferred, background checks and drug testing as required by

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, document observations, and report concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence to support a positive learning environment.

Pay Rate: $17.20 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school policies, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support a positive learning environment by maintaining a professional presence and communicating respectfully with school staff, students, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
