Allied Universal in Olympia, WA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol to monitor access, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires at least 1 year of security-related experience; access control and CPR are preferred. It offers a full-time daytime schedule with pay at $22.25 per hour, and benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and help maintain orderly access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
