Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer for a healthcare location in Chula Vista, CA. The role involves patrolling facilities, maintaining visibility to deter incidents, and delivering professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

You will follow site policies, respond to incidents, monitor access points, and report findings to site leadership and emergency responders. Minimum requirements include 6 months in security and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site leadership, Allied Universal management, and/or emergency responders as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
