Job summary

Allied Universal in Allen, TX seeks a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor retail locations, patrol areas, and provide courteous service to shoppers and employees. You will observe and report incidents, enforce site rules, and support a welcoming environment.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience, ability to use a computer or tablet, and that you are at least 18 (21 for armed roles).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail areas, common spaces, entrances, and parking areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities.
• Observe and report unusual activity or hazards to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and directions during operations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Reporting in Allen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will interact professionally with shoppers, employees, and visitors, communicate observations, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to help deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming retail environment.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and directions for visitors during routine operations, promotional events, and high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
