Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver) in Allentown, PA. The role focuses on safeguarding clients across industries, performing patrols, access control, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology and communications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, incidents, and/or operational needs.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Prerequisites

• CPR Certification (B205): Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal to ensure all employees are equipped with lifesaving skills.
• Customer Service Experience (B219): Previous experience in customer service is crucial for roles that require interaction with clients and the public.
• Lift More Than 20 lbs (B209): Candidates should be physically capable of lifting items weighing more than 20 pounds, as this may be necessary for certain job functions.
• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Candidates must possess experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm activation, deactivation, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Candidates should be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital communication tools effectively.
• Valid Driver's License
  • A current and valid license without any restrictions that would impede the ability to perform job duties.
  • No significant traffic violations or driving offenses that could affect employment eligibility.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
