Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed First Aid Response Patrol) in Allentown, PA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide excellent customer service, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. CPR certification is encouraged, and CPR/First Aid training is provided by Allied Universal. A high school diploma and background checks are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and maintain entry, incident, and activity logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report security-related concerns following site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

CPR Certification

• All prospective employees are required to obtain a valid CPR certification.
• Allied Universal provides free CPR training

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused facility.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry, incident, and activity logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report security-related concerns involving facility access, equipment areas, and property, following site procedures and Allied Universal reporting standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
