Job summary

Allied Universal® invites you to join as a Security Officer in Columbus, OH, delivering unarmed patrols and exceptional customer service at an airport site. You will monitor access, report incidents, and support site procedures while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to airport visitors, passengers, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.

• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
