Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal policy.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, notifying store personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location including sales areas, entrances, exits, and parking areas.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and hazards; report observations per site procedures.
• Assist with access control, customer flow, and incident documentation as required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 12:00 PM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate store personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations through established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, customer flow, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
