Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL. You will patrol by vehicle and bicycle, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service at a retail/mall location.

• Drug screening is required prior to employment.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols by vehicle and bicycle, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. Allied Universal values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior entrances, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report unusual conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security‑related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
