Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Badge Operationsin Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support security-related operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and use technology to document activity. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Join a caring, agile team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.31 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns; help to deter theft and unauthorized access through a visible presence.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrols, and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to store management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
