Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Validation in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will use computer or tablet-based tools to document observations and assist visitors. Pay Rate: $20.08 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, activities, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
