Allied Universal in Blythewood, SC is hiring a Security Officer (Unarmed) for full-time night shifts at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will provide customer service, monitor and patrol, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence to deter risk.

The role requires at least 2 years of security-related experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Help support orderly operations by reporting hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate site representative.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
