Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Credentialing in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for employees, contractors, and guests. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
• Control access to utility operations areas and report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
