Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, a drug screen may be required.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Badge Verification in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide courteous service, communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and staff, and document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access to the shelter location, greet and direct visitors, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
