As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and community partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government-operated shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry where applicable, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized activity or policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate authorities.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and activity logs, and communicate relevant observations to supervisors and facility personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
